Technical Manager

Eden Scott is delighted to be partnering with a Food & Drink Catalyst, to recruit an experienced professional for the position of Technical Manager. The successful candidate will manage the technical and day-to-day operation of, ensuring compliance of all statutory requirements of a food safe environment. Leading a team that will deliver exceptional customer service for tenants and visitors to the business. Main Duties

• Lead and develop the Technical operations team.
• Develop and document the Technical standard operating procedures.
• Work closely with the facilities management company's contract manager to ensure delivery of the FM contract.
• Managing quality assurance standards and processes to comply with
• Health, safety and fire regulations
• Risk assessment and management of risks
• Hygiene and cleaning standards
• Food safety regulations and processes
• Maintain all accreditations required for the safe operation of a Food Safe environment
• Ensure adherence to robust allergen control procedures
• Onboarding of tenants to the building and to their allocated workspace
• Manage the Internal audit schedule for site, ensure that audits are carried out to the agreed schedule and timescale and ensure non-conformances are investigated and fully closed out and are driving continuous improvement
• Commercial Guidance/advisory/support on product development and technical matters to tenants
• Liaise with external suppliers and customer

Qualifications & Experience

• Education to degree level or equivalent in a food related discipline
• Previous experience as a technical manager in the food industry
• Advanced HACCAP trained
• Advanced Food Hygiene certification.
• Commercially adept with experience of budget management
• Proven record of maintaining a food safety culture and implementing site hygiene/safe food standards.
• Practical knowledge of allergen management.
• Experience of maintaining an internal audit program and Quality Management System.
• Demonstrable experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of applying food legislation to manufacturing practices.
