Commissioning Engineer 1 - Contractor

CB&I is seeking a Commissioning Engineer 1 -Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK. The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage. The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements. Scope Of ServicesScope of Services: Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below.

• Responsible for the Commissioning delivery of the project.
• Responsible for the safe delivery of the project.
• Promote awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental, Integrity & Quality aspects of discipline of work to achieve fit-for-purpose engineering
• Provide assurance of the commissioning processes to the project management team by implementation of project audit plans, recording of audit reports, and managing the closure of audit actions
• Single point of contact for offshore questions and queries
• Oversee preparation of deliverable materials required to meet project specifications
• Participate in design of facility as requested, e.g. Safety and shutdown systems
• Liaise with Operations and Suppliers to ensure correct schedules for each project
• Act as liaison between Client, operator and contractors on all aspects of final phases of the project affecting commissioning
• Oversee functional testing of instrument and electrical safety systems
• Advise Project Manager on viability and acceptability of requests for changes to plant. Review proposed changes with appropriate specialist design engineer
• Be fully aware of annual Safety Targets
• Be fully aware of procedure when an offshore colleague is mobilised onshore for any medical checks or treatments / medivacs

Deliverables Services should be provided to produce the following deliverables where required as part of project specific works, specific clients and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order. Key Deliverables To Include

• Ensure that the project generated planning documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and complies with the contract requirements
• Works as integrated member of the Project Team to achieve project delivery within safety, schedule, cost, and quality constraints
• Prepare detailed commissioning related plans and schedules for the project
• Work with the Duty Holder certification process and ensure that all commissioning documentation is compliant with the pre-requisites
• Provide assistance to other departments on commissioning issues
• Monitor progress of work on the project and report any issues
• Compile overall Project Commissioning Philosophy
• Oversee the day-to-day site activities of the Project Commissioning and Start-up Team and regularly review status with the project manager
• Regularly review the project schedule for pre-commissioning and start-up and advise issues
• Present completed sections of plant to the Operator for approval/acceptance
• Advise on pre-commissioning and start-up procedures
• Investigate technical problems by coordinating appropriate subcontractors
• Oversee any trouble-shooting activities as needed
