The Role As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead the safe and efficient delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards. You’ll be the vital link between project leadership and asset teams, driving projects through each stage with strategic oversight and a focus on adding value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the establishment of a strong safety culture through example and regular site visits.
  • Oversee the delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment with stage gate requirements and company procedures.
  • Optimize project value, ensuring technical scrutiny and appropriately scaled activity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety screening, verification, and IVB engagement.
  • Implement efficient project delivery processes and manage technical changes via company systems.
  • Oversee key contract and supplier relationships for effective project execution.
  • Monitor and report project performance, including cost, schedule, and risk management.
  • Drive environmental compliance, safety adherence, and quality planning throughout project phases.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to ensure contractor deliverables meet requirements.
  • Record and share lessons learned to improve future project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Preferred credentials: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Extensive project delivery experience in the oil and gas sector with operator and contractor exposure.
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, industry trends, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and client/contractor relationship management abilities.

Additional Requirements

  • Offshore travel may be required as part of the role.
