Family Support Worker

Company Description Huntingtons Disease Association NI (HDANI) provides support, information, advice, and social connections to those living with the impact of Huntington’s Disease in Northern Ireland. The organization runs regional support groups, offers advice and support through various channels, and organizes events for families to connect. HDANI advocates for effective care, lobbies for improved services, provides training, and keeps service users informed of the latest research in search of treatments and a cure. Role Description There are two posts. Both are full-time, working from home with travel in community role for a Family Support Worker located in the Western, Northern or South Eastern Trust area. The Family Support Worker will be responsible for providing support, information, and advice to individuals and families impacted by Huntington’s Disease. Tasks include case management, providing information, advice, practical and emotional support to families, co-ordinating communication and support with service users, medical professionals and other service providers, and facilitating support groups and social connections within the community.
