What will you be doing? We are looking for an experienced NDT Inspector / Senior NDT Inspector to join our team on either a staff or contractor basis within our Pipeline Group. You will be based at our facility in Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow. As NDT Inspector you will be responsible for carrying out inspections in the Global Weld Development Centre (GWDC) and coordination inspection activities as required. Key Responsibilities
- NDT of pipeline girth welds made for welding development and procedure qualification programmes.
- Perform various NDT methods such as Phased Array UT, Time of Flight Diffraction, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing and Liquid Penetrant Testing.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting the findings and results of inspections.
- Coordinate day to day requirements for inspection with GWDC staff and subcontractors.
- Interface with NDT subcontractor as required to ensure that all examinations are completed in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Welding Engineers and QA/QC teams to address any identified issues.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
What experience would we like you to have?
- PCN Level 2: UT, MT, PT, ToFD, PAUT.
- Radiographic Interpretation experience is preferred.
- Assumes accountability for delivery of allocated inspection activities.
- Communicates effectively and articulately at all levels, internally and externally.
- Demonstrates effective planning skills.
- Demonstrates good analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- Proactively makes suggestions for improvements to systems and procedures.
- Show commitment to self-improvement, education and development.
