- Full-Time
- Salary: £25,000–£30,000 DOE
- Closing Date: Monday 21st April 2025
Not just another content role. This is your chance to lead & be creative.
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Social Media & Content Specialist to join our growing team at Due North Creatives. This is not a junior position, you’ll be at the heart of client relationships, advising on direction, leading creative sessions, and making an impact that goes beyond posting and scheduling.
You’ll have the autonomy and responsibility to own accounts, build strategies, and lead content creation days - both behind the scenes and directly with clients. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, bringing brands to life across social platforms, video content, email marketing, and even digital campaigns.
What makes this role different?
- You’re not just managing social, you’re shaping it.
- You’ll lead content direction for client accounts, not just deliver it.
- You’ll host and run content creation days, capturing video, creating visuals, and telling brand stories.
- You’ll guide clients through best practices and help them evolve.
- You’ll collaborate with our wider team daily to ensure every aspect of a client’s marketing works together.
- You’ll also be supported to expand your skills in website editing and, in time, move towards creative website design if it’s a path you want to explore.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and executing social media strategies with clear goals.
- Leading your own client accounts and acting as their go-to content expert.
- Running in-person content creation days (filming on a phone or camera capturing behind-the-scenes, reels, and more).
- Editing video content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro to produce reels, shorts, and branded video content.
- Designing branded visuals using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Writing standout captions and engaging copy tailored to each platform.
- Managing content planning, scheduling, and performance through Agorapulse.
- Leading strategy calls, reviewing analytics, and guiding client decisions.
- Supporting email marketing and content repurposing.
- Learning how to make website updates, with potential to grow into web design.
- Working with our internal team daily to deliver joined-up creative across video, copy, and strategy.
- Supporting paid campaigns and internal Due North Creatives marketing.
Who we’re looking for
You’re not just creative, you’re strategic, confident in client settings, and driven by results. You love variety, can take the lead, and want to be part of a team that’s small enough to move fast but big enough to deliver big.
You’ll thrive in a hybrid setup. Working remotely but often on-site with clients and meeting the team across Aberdeenshire, Angus, and Perthshire.
You’ll need to bring:
- A proven track record of delivering social media strategy and content with real impact
- Experience managing client accounts, running meetings, and making strategic recommendations
- Confidence in filming and editing video content (reels, interviews, storytelling)
- Graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Suite)
- Strong writing skills that turn scrollers into followers
- Email marketing know-how and an understanding of content funnels
- A basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a remote-first team
- A full driving licence + access to a car
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience running paid advertising campaigns across social platforms
- WordPress knowledge or experience
- Reporting and analytics skills
- An eye for marketing trends and platform innovations
- Experience with project management tools like Asana
What we offer
- A flexible, trust-based working environment
- A passionate, ambitious and supportive team
- A chance to work on a wide mix of brands and industries
- Ongoing development opportunities across social, creative, and digital skills
